Opening Ocupation: Producer – Performing Arts

Responsibilities: 

• In collaboration with the Dancing Team Manager, plan and execute QEDT’s six core programs (Dance Produce Lab, Creators Unit, All General Dances Training, Playwrights Unit, New Dance Creation Projects, and Festival Administrators).

• Coordinate annual dance participant outreach, interviews, training and selection.

• Ongoing mentorship of youth dance participants (via correspondence and visiting rehearsals and programs).

• In collaboration with Dance Manager of Team and Stage Lighting Designer, schedule and coordinate a  meeting of stage design in the all important events.

• Create evaluations for participants to reflect on their work within the programs.

• Collaborate with the director and all staff to plan a production timeline and deadlines for various aspects of the production to ensure a successful show opening and run.

• Provide administrative support to the Managing Director and Artistic Director.

• Coordinate and facilitating the work of the dance design, production and performing teams

Requirement:

• At least 5 years proven experience in similar position 

• Familiarity with art produce and stage design principles

• Good management skills with the ability to create and analyze reports,  new dance  Leadership and organizational abilities

• Interpersonal skills

• Problem-solving attitude

• Flexibility to work in shifts

Salary: $40.50 per hour

​
