Jodi Banks

Competitive Team Coach

Jodi trained in her formative years at Dance Elite in Milton, Ontario, completing CDTA examinations in ballet, jazz, and tap. Although she explored many styles—including acro, musical theatre, modern, hip hop, jazz, and tap—ballet was always her favourite to perform.

She continued her training in the one‑year certificate program at George Brown College, where she developed her technique in ballet, jazz, and modern, while also studying vocal performance, acting, and anatomy for dancers.

After graduation, Jodi joined The Dance Company in Toronto, performing at corporate events across the GTA. Over the years, she landed a variety of dance roles, including lead dancer in a video featured on a Cyndi Lauper tour and a cheerleader in a 2‑4‑1 Pizza commercial that aired during the Super Bowl.

Jodi went on to dance with the Hamilton Tiger‑Cats as a cheerleader for five seasons, performing at community and charity events, all home games, select away games, and multiple Grey Cups across Canada.

Her love of learning has always kept her connected to the studio. She continued taking ballet classes at York University, joined the salsa club while in school, and still seeks out classes and training opportunities—believing that you are never done learning.

Jodi is excited to share her passion with others and is committed to helping each dancer develop strength, confidence, and musicality through hard work, encouragement, and support.
